Baby Boo Photography Things To Know » baby and children's photography

So excited to get back to blogging!

Yes it has been a while since I’ve blogged about the studio, images and life in general. My blog posts won’t always be about the studio, since well I do have a life away from it and am very involved in my kids activities and school. I am a mom and wife first and then a photographer.

For those of you who don’t know me I’m Jennifer and I’m the owner/photographer for Baby Boo Photography which has been photographing children, babies, teens and families for 10 years now.  I have two children in middle school- Andrew who is 13 and going into 8th grade and Kaitlyn who is 11 and going into 7th grade. I spend a lot of time carting Kaitlyn especially around to dance and dance team activities. I am a volunteer at East Jessamine Middle School and am there most Friday afternoons in the library and I am also a parent rep on the site based council. In addition to the kids I am also president of the PhotoPro Network here in KY and an avid print competition entrant and will as of this summer be qualified as a judge for print competition.  In addition to the studio I am also starting my journey soon as an Origami Owl consultant. To say the least I am a busy lady!

I started this blog a couple of years ago and have fallen short on the whole blogging regularly. It is my hope that I can at least blog once a week just to keep people up to date and to share what is going on at the studio and in our lives. I think it’s important to not only share the studio part, but to share my family as well since providing for them is what drives me to do my best with my work. So, I hope you enjoy the images I share, the insight I bring to the photography community and just sharing being a mom.

Below is my family- I love them dearly. Yes my daughter is bald- and no she doesn’t have cancer. She has an autoimmune disease called Alopecia that attacked her hair and she lost all of it last September. She is perfectly healthy and is quit happy with her baldness. She is such an inspiration to me and other girls her age. My hair is very long in this image, but is it short now since a week after this image was taken I cut it off along with many people to be donated. My hair as well as several of Kaitlyn’s friends hair will go to make a special wig for her. We will see if she wear it as she is comfortable in her bald beauty. We collect around 1700 inches of hair that was donate to Children With Hairloss. If anyone ever needs information about this organization to donate or are in need of a wig for a child-or you need information about Alopecia please feel free to email me at palumbo1971@gmail.com. I’m happy to help!!
